Anxiety Affects The People Who Love Us Too

Anxiety can be disabling not only for the sufferer, but also for loved ones. When one person in a family has anxiety, it seems like the whole family is affected. People who suffer from anxiety often do not want to engage in normal every day activities and loved ones miss out on their presence.

The key is to take control of anxiety with proper anxiety treatment and not let anxiety take control of you and your life. You can get back on track and spend those special moments with your loved ones, and often quite quickly after starting treatment. Another issue is people who don’t suffer from anxiety don’t always understand how we are feeling. Others may think you are just lazy because you don’t want to leave the house. They may think you are overly excitable, nervous or crazy. People and loved ones may even distance themselves and begin to avoid you. These are all just normal reactions to your anxiety and those relationships can and will heal as you heal from your condition.

Don’t delay your treatment for anxiety and miss out on time with your loved ones. Getting help as early on as possible can get you and your family back to normal.
